Charles Studer Obituary Charles 'Chuck' R. Studer age 90 passed away Friday, October 8, 2021 at Crestwood Care Center in Shelby. Born July 26, 1931 in New Washington, OH to Fred and Agnes (Metzger) Studer, he has been an area resident for the majority of his life. Chuck was an avid Detroit Tigers fan, and enjoyed gardening, stacking firewood and playing cards. His is survived by his sister Margaret (Maggie) Studer, sister-in-law Nadine Studer both of Shelby, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers and sisters-in-law Leonard, Wilbur, Gerard and Mary, Arthur and Jeri, Norbert and brother-in-laws Mary and Glenn Sutter, Rosella and Michael Lanni, and an infant sister Armella. Friends may call at the Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory in Shelby Tuesday, October 12, 2021 from 10:00 - 11:00 AM with a Rosary service being recited at 11:00 AM. A funeral mass will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday at the Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Father Chris Mileski will officiate with burial held in Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Cemetery.
