Charlotte M. Phillips, age 73, resident of Mansfield, died Friday, March 4, 2011 in Kingston of Ashland Nursing Home following a two month illness. Born August 21, 1937 in Shelby to Jess and Mary R. (Pack) Albright, she had been a Shelby resident the majority of her life. A 1955 graduate of Shelby High School, she had been employed for 18 years with Hi-Stat and was owner-operator of Char's Tax Service for 20 years. Charlotte attended 1st Alliance Church in Mansfield. She enjoyed crocheting and had made numerous afghans. Her greatest joy was babysitting her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Edward Phillips of Lexington; two sons, Scott (Renee) Phillips of Creston, OH and Lane (Lisa) Gaby of Mishawaka, Indiana; one daughter, Pam Jackson of Newton Grove, North Carolina; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one brother, John (Barbara) Albright of Utica, MI; sister-in-law, Becky Albright of Willard; aunt, Alice Albright of Mansfield; special family member, Dwight Reynolds of Chandlersville, OH and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Todd Phillips in 2009 and one brother, Henry Albright. Funeral service will be held at 11:00AM Tuesday March 8, 2011at the Heartland Alliance Church, 6385 State Route 314. Reverend Brian Durbin and Reverend Steve Burggraf will officiate with interment in Shauk Cemetery, Johnsville. Friends may call at the Barkdull Funeral Home in Shelby, Monday from 5-8 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial expressions may be made to Kingston of Ashland or American Cancer Society.
