Colt Americ
Dye
Jul 10, 2026 — Jul 10, 2026
Wednesday
Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory
4:00 - 6:00 pm (Eastern time)
It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of our precious baby boy, Colt Americ Dye. Though his time on this earth was far too brief, Colt was deeply loved from the very moment he was known. He was prayed for, dreamed of, and eagerly awaited by so many. He will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those who loved him and longed to welcome him into this world.
Colt peacefully entered his Heavenly home on Friday, July 10, 2026, at Wyandot Memorial Hospital, surrounded by the endless love of his courageous parents, who held and cherished him in their arms for every precious moment they were given.
Although we never got a chance to hear his voice, Colt was loud with his movements. He loved to respond to outside touch, often pushing against his Mother and kicking against his Father; even before he was born Colt was a rambunctious baby boy. From the start of his little touches, he had our heart.
Colt may never have taken a step on this earth, but he forever changed our lives. His tiny hands and feet left footprints on our hearts that can never be erased. He taught us that love has no measure of time-it simply exists, deep and everlasting.
While our hearts ache with a pain words cannot fully express, we find comfort in knowing that our sweet boy now rests safely in the arms of Jesus. Though he was here on earth for only a fleeting moment, he is now forever in Heaven's eternal garden. We hold tightly to the promise that one day we will see him again, knowing he will always be our son, our greatest blessing, and a piece of our heart.
As we grieve this unimaginable loss, we are deeply grateful for the love, prayers, and compassion shown to our family. Your kindness has carried us through our darkest days and reminded us that we do not walk this journey alone.
Our sweet Colt will never be forgotten. He will forever be loved, forever be missed, and forever be a part of us. Until we hold you again, our precious boy, you will always live in our hearts. For the time we had him, he was ours.
Colt is survived by his loving parents, Andrew and Peyton (Edgington) Dye of Sycamore, Ohio. Colt will be forever remembered and cherished by all of his extended family including his grandparents, Bernadine and Paul Dye of Tiro, Ohio; Randy and Wanda Edgington of Sycamore, Ohio as well as aunts, uncles, cousins and other family members.
A visitation will be held in Colt's honor from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory in Shelby, Ohio on Wednesday, July 22, 2026. A private graveside will take place at a family cemetery in Kentucky.
