Dale Bricker Obituary Dale E. Bricker, age 99, of Shelby, Ohio went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 25th,2024, from the comfort of home.
Dale was born on January 29th 1925, in Dover, Ohio to the late Beatrice Mae and Frank B. Bricker.
Dale graduated from Dover High School in 1943. After graduating Dale joined our Nations Armed Forces and was a World War II Veteran of the 410th Quartermasters Depot Company serving from1943-1946 at the American & Asiatic Pacific Theatre of Operations.
Dales employment and occupational accomplishments after his service included; Wilkins Air force Depot 1952-1958. Then Dale was appointed Mansfield City Council -Clerk of Council 1958-1963. After working for the city of Mansfield he was appointed Richland County Director of Elections 1964-1978. He went on to serve in the Secretary of State Office 1978-1979. Dale was also Mohican State Park Manager 1979-1982. When Dale retired, he served our community as Shelby City Councilman and professional volunteer. He took great pride in being the Owner and Director of Shelbys local art & craft museum known to locals as The Gallery.
Dale was a member of the Methodist Church, an Ohio AMVETS life public relations officer, Life member of AMVETS post 26 in Mansfield, the U. S. Air-Force Association, the Tea Party Patriots of America, and Toastmasters International. Dale took great pride in serving our country at many levels. During his free time, he loved to dance, spend time with family, paint and do woodwork.
Dale is Survived by his loving wife Beatrice "ANN" Bricker and their four children Barry Bricker, Dale Bricker Jr, Heather (Vaughn) Kushner, and Annette Ball. Dale has three grandchildren Nicole (Jasmine) Spraggins, Samantha and James Kushner, along with two great grandchildren Lakendrick and Chantelle. In addition to his parents, Dale was preceded in death by his brothers Bob and Frank Bricker.
Friends may visit at the Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory in Shelby Monday, July 29, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A funeral service will be held immediately following at the funeral home at 12:00 PM. Reverend James Macdonald will officiate at Oakland Cemetery in Shelby where Military honors will be performed.
