Denise Utz Obituary Denise Lynne Utz, age 52, passed away Thursday, December 9, 2021, at her home in Shelby, surrounded by her family. Born June 11, 1969, to Homer Rogers and Dorothy (Rader) Rogers Balliet in Ashland she had been a 29-year resident of Shelby. She was a 1987 graduate of Crestview High School and worked as a computer programmer for Ohio Mutual Insurance Group. Denise was an animal lover and was very fond of her cats Lenny and Joe. She was a previous member of the 1st Church of God. She is survived by her mother; her loving husband, Michael Utz, whom she married June 13, 1992; children Craig (fiance Samantha Nicks) Utz of Fairborn, OH, and Katelyn Utz of Carmel, Indiana; siblings Christine Rogers of Mansfield, and Michael (Michele) Rogers of Chester, VA; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her father Homer Rogers and sister Debra Rogers. Friends may call at the Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory Monday, December 13, 2021, from 5:00- 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home 10:30 AM Tuesday. Pastor Rita Bullock will officiate, and interment held in Oakland Cemetery.
