Donna M. Adams, age 66, resident of Shelby died Saturday November 9, 2013 in Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. Born February 7, 1947 in Willard, Ohio to Byron M. and Billie (McQuillen) Urie, she had been a Shelby area resident for the last 25 years. A 1965 graduate of South Central High School in Greenwich, Donna had retired from Pepperidge Farm after 30 years of service. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, her beloved dog "Polly Anna" and loved spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Bob Adams, whom she married April 9, 1989; her children, Robin L. (Harness) Nedolast of Shelby, Barbra A. (Harness) Adkins (Brian) of Shelby, AJ Blanton (Judith) of Bad Camburg, Germany, Catherine L. Blanton of Pittsburgh, PA; step-children, Lia Fernandez of Aurora, Tina (Robert) Pifher of Attica, Sita Adams of Philadelphia, PA, Bobbi Jo (Doug) Stover of Columbus, Marcus (Cheryl) Adams of Mount Juliet, TN and Aaron (Shelly) Adams of New Washington; her mother Billie Urie; 22 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles; sister, Bobbie (Dave) Sherman of Greenwich and brother, Carl Urie of Shelby. She was preceded in death by her father, Byron M. Urie. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday November 16, 2013 at the Barkdull Funeral Home in Shelby. Pastor Russel Yoak will officiate with interment in Edwards Grove Cemetery, Greenwich. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 PM. Memorial expressions may be made to the First Lutheran Church.
