Donna M. Stima, age 81, resident of Amoy-Ganges Rd., Shelby died Friday, June 22, 2007 in MedCentral/Mansfield Hospital following a brief illness.
Born August 23, 1925 in Shelby to Lester and Mary (Rinehart) Berrier she was a Shelby area resident all of her life. In the 1940's, she was employed with Walker's Dairy in Shelby. Mrs. Stima was a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church. During her lifetime she enjoyed traveling, cooking, baking, and playing bingo and cards. Donna was a homemaker and devoted wife and mother.
Survivors include her husband, Leo Stima, Jr. whom she wed August 7, 1943; one son and daughter-in-law, Denny and Laurie Stima of Brighton, MI; two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Ernie Hamilton of Savannah and Jean and Chet Yetzer of Shelby; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Paul Berrier of Warner Robins, GA and Donald and Joyce Berrier of Eden; nieces, nephews and other relatives. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one sister and brother-in-law, Lucille and Gale Wilcox and sister-in-law, Jeannie Berrier.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, June 26, 2007 from Barkdull Funeral Home in Shelby. Father Nicholas Cunningham will officiate with interment in Most Pure Heart of Mary Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial expressions may be made to Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Shelby.
