Dorothy Miller Obituary Dorothy J. Miller, age 95, resident of Shelby, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at Crystal Care Centers of Mansfield. Born August 27, 1926, in Adrian, Ohio to Russell Mckinley Presler and Edith Viola Mullholland, she had been a resident of Shelby for over 70 years. She was a proud homemaker. Dorothy was an amazing woman. She was a woman of great faith and a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church, a woman of immeasurable character and integrity she was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandma. Her family was her life. She will be sadly missed by all who experienced her love. Surviving are her children, Linda Pifer of Mansfield; Gloria (John) McCready of Arizona, Dennis (Lynne Stentz) Miller of Shelby and Karen (Steve) Donnenwirth of Shelby; four grandchildren, Heather (Brent) Armstrong of Shelby, Melanie (Kevin) Yale of New Jersey, Michelle Huddleston of Maryland, and Melissa (Jason) Koob of California; eight great-grandchildren, Brennan and Camden Armstrong, Alex, Caden, and Reagan Yale, Tiffany and Tyler Huddleston, and Mikayla and Liam Koob; her sister-in-law, Margie Campbell of Bellevue, many nieces and nephews and their families. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years Bernard C. Miller in 2014, siblings Gerald, Mervin, Howard, Russell Jr., Jack, Mack Presler, Elmina Presler, Nelly Wilson, and Emma Washer; son-in-law, Fred Pifer, six brothers-in-law and four sisters-in-law, Clarence, Alfred, Viola, Olivia, Robert, Arthur, LaVerne, Julius, Mary Ann and Howard. Visitation for family and friends will take place on Sunday, March 6, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 7, 2022, at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church with Father Chris Mileski officiating. Interment will take place immediately following mass at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Cemetery. Memorial expressions may be made to the Most Pure Heart of Mary Church or Crystal Care Center.
