Elizabeth 'Betty' Deak Obituary Elizabeth 'Betty' Mae Deak, age 80, passed away peacefully October 16, 2024, at Ohio Health Mansfield surrounded by her loving family. Betty was born July 6, 1944, in North Ridgeville, Ohio to the late Jospeh Elias and Mary (Yenskevicz) Solomon. She was a graduate of North Ridgeville High School in the class of '65. She worked in the service field for many years as a cashier for Get Go gas station before retiring in 2015. She was an avid reader, enjoyed bird watching and cooking for her family. Betty will be missed by her family and friends. Betty is survived by her children, Kim Etzler of Columbus, OH, Jackie (John) Holmes of Hayesville, OH, Tina Deak of Lakewood, OH and Carrie Deak of Shelby; her grandchildren, Eli and Emily Etzler, Kat, John, Solomon and Will Holmes, and Sophia Deak; siblings, Joseph (Joyce) Solomon of North Ridgeville, William (Nancy) Solomon, and Thomas (Sue) Solomon of Strongsville, OH; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. In addition to her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her loving husband, Thomas Deak. Per the families wishes, no services will be held.
