Ellen Tomei Obituary Ellen Leckrone Tomei, 93 resident of Westlake died Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at the Rae Ann Nursing Home. Born January 30, 1927 in Glenford, Ohio to Oscar V. and Florence Marie (Cotterman) Leckrone, she had lived in Dundee, Illinois for over 35 years moving to Shelby in 1996. Ellen was a 1945 graduate of Glenford Hopewell Township High School. She was part owner of the Cary Floral Gardens in Cary, Illinois for many years. During her lifetime she enjoyed sewing, and growing flowers and plants. Survivors include her sister, Margaret Hupp of Newark; nieces, nephews and other relatives. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Polly Clutter in 2002, and Jean Kaffenberger in 2004. Private graveside services will be held in Highland Cemetery, Glenford, Ohio. Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory is honored to assist the family with arrangements.
