Ethel 'Ruth' Wright , age 88, resident of Shelby died Tuesday December 13, 2016 in Crestwood Care Center. Born January 20, 1928 in Shiloh to Aiden and Esther (Esbenshade) Willet she had been a long time resident of Shelby. A 1948 graduate of Plymouth High School, she was a homemaker who enjoyed traveling. Ruth was a member of the First United Church of Christ and a fifty year member of Eastern Star Rizpah Chapter #153. Surviving is her husband Billy P. Wright whom she married June 24,1951, her son Kenneth A. (Lora) Wright, Shelby, two sisters Jo Ann Hamman of Indiana, Phyllis Walter of Mansfield and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Karen L. Wright in 2016 and two brothers, Ralph and J. Raymond Willet. Funeral services will be held 10:30 Friday December 16, 2016 from Barkdull Funeral Home and Crematory Pastor James Robinson will officiate with private interment in Mansfield Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 3:00 to 6:00 PM where Eastern Star services will be held at 3:00 PM.
