Evelyn Sweeney Obituary Evelyn Sweeney, age 86, passed away Sunday, November 14, 2021 at Signature HealthCARE of Galion. She was born September 29, 1935 in Ansted, West Virginia to Harry Legg and Helen (Dempsey) Jones. She had been a Shelby resident for the majority of her life. Her hobbies included sewing and cooking. Evelyn is survived by her children Gary Wayne (Anna) Parrish of Tiro, Tim R. (Brenda) Parrish of Mansfield, and Tina (Rick) Clapper of Galion, Ohio; 13 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; brothers Dave (Mary) Jones of Crestline, Rick (Lisa) Jones of Crestline, and Jerry (Connie) Jones of Tiro; and her loving companion dog, Willow. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her children, Vicky Hardin, Ronald Parrish, and Karen Keller; two grandchildren; and two brothers, Bob and James Legg. A graveside service for Evelyn will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, November 22, 2021 at Oakland Cemetery in Shelby with Pastor Brian Phillips officiating.
