Freda Robertson Obituary Freda E. Robertson, 96, of Shelby, passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family. Born in Lucas, Ohio on January 2, 1924 to the late Royd Spohn and Jennie (McFarland) Spohn, Freda was a graduate of Lucas High School. She worked at Westinghouse in Mansfield and retired from Robertson Sohio, where she enjoyed interacting with customers. She was a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church. She enjoyed flower gardening and was an expert morel mushroom hunter. Freda is survived by her devoted husband of 72 years, Joseph E. Robertson; children Gerald "Gary" (Cindy) Robertson of Gahanna, Ohio, Danny (Lois) Robertson, David (Gwen) Robertson, both of Shelby, and Rebecca "Becky" (Raymond) Meadows of Mt. Gilead, Ohio; 13 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren; brother Richard Spohn and sister Leona (Spohn) McClellan and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Freda was preceded in death by her sisters and brothers-in-laws Mary (Paul) Hasenzahl, Wilma (Lyle) Westfield and Mildred (Louis) Shafer, her sister-in-law Jean Spohn, her brother-in-law Hank McClellan and her son-in-law John Eshelman. Private family graveside services will be held at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Cemetery with Father Chris Mileski officiating. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Barkdull Funeral Home and Crematory, 33 N. Gamble Street, Shelby, Ohio is assisting the family with arrangements.
