Gary Wade Obituary Gary L. Wade passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at the Smithville Western Care Center in Wooster, Ohio. Gary was born on July 28, 1941 to Jim Wade Sr. and Melva (Enhuff) Duncan at Ohio Aultman Hospital located in Canton, Ohio. He served in the Ohio Army National Guard during the Vietnam War, staying stateside during the conflict. Following his time in the service, Gary was employed by trade as a meat cutter with Edwards Grocery Store and various other grocers and was a member of the UCFW, as well as being the co-owner and operator of A-Treasure House Antiques in North Canton, Ohio. Gary discovered Christianity later in his life and was saved in 1985. From that point on, he was a devoted Christian for whom faith became an integral part of his life. He attended church services regularly, as often as he could, until he was no longer able to do so physically. Gary had been a member of both the First Church of God and the Calvary Baptist Church in Shelby, Ohio. He is survived by his daughter, Stacey L. (Dennis) Beck of Mt. Gilead, Ohio; grandchildren, Elizabeth Beck; Katherine Beck; and Tina Johnson Percival; great-grandchild, Nadia Johnson, sister, Robin Sligh; and brother William (Billy) Duncan of Massiillon, Ohio. In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his loving daughters, Tammi and Tonya J. Wade; sisters, Marilyn Wade Strong, Bonnie Wade and Katherine Kascavelis Poirer; brothers, Jim Wade Jr, Ralph Wade, Robert Duncan and Jim Kascavelis. Services will be held at a later date and will be announced by the family. Barkdull Funeral Home and Crematory in Shelby is honored to assist the family with arrangements.
