Geneva Katherine Morgan, 82, resident of Shelby died Saturday February 7, 2009 in Heritage Care Center. Born December 6, l926 to Edward and Rosie (Sesco) Runyon in Chattaroy, West Virginia, she had been a Shelby resident since 1969. Mrs. Morgan was a former employee of Mid-Ohio Cleaning Co. of Shelby. A member of the Church of God, she enjoyed crocheting, crossword puzzles and being with her family. Survivors include four daughters, Brenda (Michael) McCarthy of Las Vegas, Nevada; Connie (Charlie) Gillum of Wakeman; Blanch (Michael) Fry, and Patricia (Charles) Browning, all of Shelby; three sons, David (Cora Mee) Morgan of Nevada, Ohio, Terry (Linda) Morgan, Randy (Barbara) Morgan, all of Shelby; 19 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; two half-brothers, George Runyon of Wooster and Benjamin Runyon, of New London; one sister, Opal Marie Smith of Williamson, WV; nieces, nephews and other relatives. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Morgan in 1993 ; two brothers Emmett and Charles Runyon and two sisters, Edna Johnson and Mary Marcum. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Saturday, February 14, 2009 from the Barkdull Funeral Home. Reverend Charles Sanders will officiate with interment in Franklin Church Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Memorial expressions may be made to the American Lung Association.
