Glendon Baldridge Obituary Glendon 'Glen' Ray Baldridge, age 90, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2024, peacefully at his home in Dunedin, Florida. Glen was born January 24, 1934, in Morehead, Kentucky to Murvil Clifton and Leana Pearl (Hall) Baldridge. He graduated from Wheelersburg High School in the class of 1952. Following high school, Glen drafted into the United States Army, where he was stationed in Germany. After his time in the service, Glen moved to Shelby, Ohio where he resided for 58 years prior to moving to Florida in 2022 to live with his daughter and her spouse. While living in Shelby, Glen worked at General Motors in Ontario before retiring after 31 years. In his retirement, Glen explored self-employment fulfilling a lifelong dream of opening up his own auto body shop. Glen was a man of many talents. He was a big sports fan and enjoyed both watching and playing all kinds of sports. In his youth, he played semi-professional basketball for several seasons. He also enjoyed spending time in the outdoors pursuing passions such as beekeeping, fishing and gardening. At home, with his green thumb, Glen loved growing his own vegetable garden. One of Glen's most favorite hobbies, that led to his exploration into self-employment, was collecting and working on cars. Glen truly loved to make something out of nothing putting his special touch on all of his projects. Glen is survived by his two children, Tammie (Sherri Bentley) Baldridge of Dunedin, FL, Terry Glen (Robin) Baldridge Sr. of Willard; three stepchildren, Hattie (Hector) Velasco of Willard, Vickie Gibson of Shelby, Denver 'Denny' Taylor Jr. of Shelby, 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Jewel Mae Baldridge in 2015, one daughter Stephanie Annette Baldridge; grandson Tyson Brent Baldridge; and two brothers, Carl L. Baldridge, and Keith Baldridge. Friends may call at the Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory in Shelby Tuesday, May 14, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 PM. Reverend Merlin Dye will officiate with interment held in Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven.
