Heather Ellen Carpenter, age 61 of Mansfield, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 24, 2025.

Born on April 30, 1964 to the late Charles and Amy (LaBarge) Knapp in Shelby, Ohio. She graduated from Shelby High School in the class of 1982. Heather went on to become a Registered Nurse for 38 years and recently worked at the Avita Health System in Ontario.

She loved to be outdoors and travel to places where she could hike. Also, she enjoyed reading, watching Green Bay Packers, Ohio Bobcats Football, traveling to watch her daughter, Haley, in the Marching 110 and spending time with her baby granddaughter.

Those who will cherish her memories include her husband, David Carpenter, whom she married on December 21, 2002; her children: Haley Carpenter of Athens, Ohio, Bethany (Frank) Corea of Burgin, Kentucky and Alex (Shannon) Heffner of Bellevue, Ohio; her grandchildren, Josephine Corea, Averee Reichley and Grayson House; her sisters: Cindy (Byron) Dowds-Warmington of St. Helens, Oregon and Lori (Raj) Kaul of Portland, Oregon; and many loving nieces and nephews.

In additions to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Greg Knapp.

A Celebration of Life service for family and close friends will be scheduled for a later date.
