Howard Bair Obituary Howard N. Bair, age 74, resident of Shelby passed away Saturday, July 31, 2021 at his home. Born on February 5, 1947 in Marion, OH to Nolan V. and Lakey (Hendricks) Bair he had been a Bucyrus resident for many years, moving to Shelby in 2000. Following his graduation from Orville H.S. Howard served in the US Army during Vietnam and was stationed in Okinawa as a medic with the Green Beret special forces. He had been employed with Timken Co. in Bucyrus retiring after twenty five years of service. In his early years he was a member of a local Corvette Club. He volunteered as a coach for youth football and baseball and had played with the semi pro Shelby Blues Football team. Howard had a passion for cars and took great pride in the multiple Corvettes and BMW's that he had owned throughout his lifetime. He enjoyed raising rabbits for which he received numerous ribbons and awards. He wouldn't miss watching the Ohio State Buckeyes or attending his grandchildren's sporting events. Howard loved being outdoors and tending to his lawn and gardens. Howard is survived by his wife, Kathleen (Pry) Bair whom he married on April 1, 2000; his children Vicki Park of Bucyrus, Chad (Emily) Bair of Waynesville, OH, Pascha (Mitch) Parker of Bucyrus, Paxton Bair of Bucyrus, Ashley (Justin) Grady of Bucyrus; step-sons Paul Nedolast of Shelby, Tom Nedolast of New Washington, Andy (Emma) Nedolast of Shelby; grandchildren Kendra (Jimmy) Lanker, Marissa and Austin Bair, Noah and Riley Parker, Leah and Xavior Bair, Kelsie, Atlee, Collin and Paetyn Grady and Finley Nedolast; five great granddaughters, two special cousins Ron Risser and Joyce Noe and other relatives. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers Russell, Robert and Delbert Bair; step parents Gilbert Wright and Fannie Bair and step brother Robert Bland. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday August 5, 2021 at the Barkdull Funeral Home and Crematory. Pastor James Pomerich will officiate with interment in Biddle Cemetery.
