Jeffrey Stansberry Obituary Jeffrey Lynn Stansberry, age 51, died unexpectedly at his residence in Westerville on Thursday, June 2, 2022. Born September 22, 1970, in Shelby to Paul and Nancy (Hess) Stansberry, he had been a Columbus area resident since graduating from Shelby High School in 1989. Jeff continued his education majoring in Business Administration at The Ohio State University in 1994. He earned his CPA and then a masters degree in Taxation from Capital University Law School in 2009. Jeff landed his "dream job" as Tax Manager in Corporate Finance with OhioHealth in 2013. Jeff was always a numbers guy! Jeff was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church of Shelby, and the treasurer of a local baseball writers' group. Jeff was a huge sports enthusiast and loved attending every sporting event he could. He was a season ticket holder for the Columbus Clippers baseball team and always sought out the best seat in the park: right behind home plate! A huge music enthusiast, and #1 fan of The Dave Matthews Band, Jeff loved his music live and loud! Above all else, Jeff loved his family and friends and treasured every moment that he spent with them. "Stans" will live in our hearts forever. He is survived in death by his loving parents, siblings Lyle Stansberry, and sister Debbie (Todd) Hardesty both of Delaware; nieces, Emma (Nick) Phillips of Delaware, Claire (Chris) Solomonides of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Lillian Hardesty of Delaware; great-niece Harper Solomonides; and Jeff's faithful canine companion, Charlie. Visitation will be held at the Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory at 33 N. Gamble St. Shelby, OH 44875 on Friday, June 24, 2022, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. A funeral service will take place on Saturday June 25, 2022, at 10:30 AM at the Barkdull Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Edna Stahl officiating. Interment will immediately follow in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby. In place of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to make improvements to the Shelby City Dog Park where Jeffs love for his dog can be honored.
