Jerry Hubbard Obituary Jerry D. Hubbard, age 73, died Friday, December 17, 2021 at OhioHealth Mansfield following a brief illness. Jerry was born on December 28, 1947, in Swords Creek, Virginia, to the late Arnold and Magnora (Miller) Hubbard. He had graduated from Homemaker High School in 1965 before attending Mansfield Business College, Jerry had been a Shelby resident for over fifty years. He was a member of the American Legion #326 of Shelby, VFW, Owls Club #2553 of Shelby, and Fraternal Order of the Eagles #763 of Shelby. He enjoyed golfing and working at the Woody Ridge Golf Course as well as assisting with dinners at the American Legion. Survivors include Jerry's wife, Linda, whom he wed on December 31, 1969; a daughter, Sheila (Robert) Eaton Jr. of Shelby; son, Jason (Abby) Hubbard of Shelby; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, James (Ruth) Hubbard of Shelby, and Bill Hubbard of Shelby; and a sister; Betty (Garland) Shepherd of Virginia. In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by five sisters, Virginia Whited, Sadie Street, Ann Marcalina, Mary Brewer, and Myrtle Meyers; and a brother, Jack Hubbard. A celebration of Jerry's life will be held at a later date. The Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory in Shelby is honored to assist the family with their arrangements.
