Judith Moon Obituary Judith K. Moon, age 83, of Shelby, passed away Monday, September 23, 2024, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Judith was born August 12, 1941, in Holden, West Virginia to the late Jay and Jerrie (Bartram) Savage, she had been a Shelby resident for the majority of her life. She was employed with the Fashion Bug for over 20 years before retiring when it closed its doors in 2013. A devout Christian, Judith enjoyed attending church services at the LifePoint Community Church in Plymouth and participating with the lady church groups. When she wasn't traveling, she enjoyed going to yard sales and spending time with her family. She especially looked forward to the holiday season when everyone could be together as a big family. Judith is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, William 'Bill' Moon, whom she wed August 31, 1958; two children, Jay (Rhonda) Moon of Tiro, Melinda 'Mindy' (Paul) Bell of Galion; six grandchildren, Kyle (Jennifer) Moon, Tony (Farrah) Moon, William 'Kenneth' (Eve) Moon, Crystal (Billy) Deck, Dee Snay, Taylor Snay; many great grandchildren who she loved deeply; three siblings, George (Avanell) Savage of Shelby, Linda (Bryan) Huber of Solgohachia, AR, Robert 'Bob' (Micha) Savage of Virginia; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two sons, William 'Billy' Moon Jr. and Scott Moon; brother, Jack Savage; father and mother-in-law, William & Marian Moon, and a great-grandson, Everett Paul Moon. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to nurses, Katelynn & Reba, and the rest of the Southern Care Hospice team for their exceptional care to Judith.
