June Stamper Obituary June Francis Stamper, age 80, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, July 25, 2021 at her home in Shelby.
She was born September 4, 1940 to Gilbert and Clara (Ferguson) Simms in Ansted, West Virginia. June had been a Shelby resident the majority of her life. She was formerly employed at North Electric in Galion, AMF in Shelby, Shelby Novelty Company and was a member of the First Church of God in Plymouth. June was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She took pride in being a homemaker and raising her family. June enjoyed reading, working around her house, gardening and especially enjoyed her pool. She loved spending time with her five generations of family and watching them grow.
She is survived by her two children, Dale Stamper of Shelby and Tamma Stamper (Michael) Hughes of Mansfield; eight grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren including Aaryn Stamper whom she raised, three great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Reverend Dallas Stamper whom she married on November 7, 1957; her daughter Donna Stamper Loveland and her 15 siblings.
Friends may call at the Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory in Shelby, Wednesday July 28, 2021 from 10:00AM to 12:00 PM. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at 12:00PM at the Funeral Home. Pastor Mark Meyer will officiate with interment taking place at Oakland Cemetery.
