Kenneth Beck Obituary Kenneth Eugene Beck, age 85,resident of Shiloh, passed away Monday, January 25, 2021 at OhioHealth Shelby. He was born on September 4, 1935 to George and Florence (Jewell) Beck in Richland County, near Ganges. Kenneth was a machinist at Copperweld for 40 years until his retirement from the 'Tuby' in 1992. In 1960, he sold his family home in Shelby and cottage on Lake Erie and bought his first farm. He always worked hard, but would say 'It's not hard work if you enjoy it.' Kenneth was a member of the AFL-CIO, Farm Bureau, NRA, and the Ganges Community Church. He served as Trustee for Blooming Grove TWP and the C.B.&S. F Joint Fire District, and he also served on the Richland County Farm Bureau. Kenneth and his wife Doris made many memories traveling around the world. They visited Hawaii, France, Italy, Austria, Germany and Switzerland. Kenneth was proud of his family and all they did and loved them very much. Kenneth is survived by his wife Doris (Burks) Beck whom he married on February 19, 1955; his children, Richard (Pam) Beck of Ganges, and Cheryl (Milt) Washington of Arizona; his granddaughter Cortney (Mitch) Sampson, and his grandsons Christopher (Sabrina) Beck, and Corey (Molly) Beck; his great-granddaughters Ryen, Amelia, and Clara Beck, and his great-grandsons, Everett and Oliver Beck; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Hazel Hatfield and Patricia York. Private family funeral services will be observed at a later date, with interment in Ganges Cemetery. The family would like to thank Dr. Chawla, public health nurses and the Shiloh Rescue Squad.
