Linda Hoak Obituary Linda L. Hoak, age 72, passed away Sunday, September 12, 2021 at her home in Shelby. Born February 11, 1949 to Leonard Bruno Brodzenski and Betty Jane Dickerson "Grandma Bush" in Martins Ferry, Ohio, Linda has been a lifelong resident of Shelby. A 1967 graduate from Shelby High School she had retired from Richland Newhope after 27 years of employment and had also run her own daycare. Linda enjoyed attending garage sales, gardening, and wildflowers. She loved animals and cooking. She is survived by her children Tyler Hoak of Shelby, Jason (Thalia) Hoak of Lexington, and Matthew Hoak of Shelby; grandchildren Mikayla Hoak, Scott Hoak, Kennan Hoak, Savannah Eaton, and Alyson Hoak; siblings Carolyn 'Sue' (David) Kimble of Lexington, Judy (Tom) Peterson of Ontario, John Brodzenski of Lexington, Theresa (Don) Smith of Clyde, Janet Laserte of West Palm Beach, Florida, Joe (Heather) Brodzenski of Lexington, Robin Noe-Winkler; stepmother Mary Ann of Florida; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Scott Hoak in 1981; and stepfather Donald Bush.
