Margaret Picking Obituary Margaret J. Picking, age 76 a resident of Shelby died peacefully Thursday, March 28, 2024 in her home. Born February 11, 1948 in Rhine, Georgia to Virgil A. and Edna W. (Vaughn) Picking, she had been a Shelby resident the majority of her life. Margaret was employed with Newhope Industries in Mansfield. Margaret enjoyed watching soap opera's on her television and also using her computer. Survivors include her brother Paul (Fianc Kay) Picking of Mansfield, nephews Robert (Sheila) Picking and Richard A. Picking niece, Heather K. Picking , numerous great nephews and nieces, cousins and other relatives. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, David A. Picking in 2003 and sister-in-law Vickie Picking. Friends may call at the Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory in Shelby Wednesday, April 10, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Funeral services will immediately follow at 11:00 AM. Reverend Dr. Russel Yoak will officiate with burial in Little London Cemetery.
