Mikle Ramey Obituary Mikle Charles Ramey, age 75 of Shelby, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at his home. Mikle was born on December 4, 1948, to the late Charles Franklin and Elizabeth Ida (Wagner) Ramey in Lexington, Kentucky. He graduated in the class of 1967 from Shelby High School. A proud Veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Mikle served two tours in Vietnam, earning a purple heart. He also served with the Air National guard as well as the Army Reserve for numerous years. Mikle was employed with Shelby Business forms for over 20 years before their closing. He then worked for AK Steele until his retirement in 2011. A member of various social clubs, including the Shelby Moose #422, American Legion O'Brian Post #326, F.O.E #763, Owls #2553, VFW and a life member of the Mansfield Amvets #26. In addition to frequenting his social clubs, he enjoyed golfing and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his two sons; Chris (Fianc Kathy Gruber) Ramey of Perrysburg, and Matt (Lisa Tompkins) Ramey of Westerville; five grandchildren Andy (Alex) Craft of Mansfield, Tara Ramey of Oregon, Selena Ramey of Perrysburg, Max Ramey of Lewis Center, Chloe Ramey of Lewis Center; one great grandchild Asher Craft; three siblings, Junior (Brenda) Ramey, Linda (Robert) Caudill, Brenda (Darrell) Stamper, all of Shelby; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents. A celebration of life will be held at The American Legion Hall on Saturday, November 30, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
