Patti Lewis Obituary Patti Lynn Lewis, age 69, of Shelby, died Thursday evening, February 6, 2025, at Mercy Hospital in Willard. Patti was born June 14, 1955, in Shelby, OH and was so proud her birthday was on Flag Day. She was the daughter of the late Estis and Betty Lewis and had been a lifelong Shelby resident. Patti was a 1975 graduate of Shelby Senior High School and was an avid Shelby Whippet football fan. She looked forward to attending games at W. W. Skiles Field with her friends. After graduation, Patti worked at the Shelby Insurance Company. Later, helping her parents at home. Patti's love for others, both those she knew as well as complete strangers, was evident as she found happiness in talking to anyone of any age. She would offer to share whatever she had with friends, neighbors and family. Patti never met a baby or child she didn't adore and would 'ogle' over the little ones. Heidi, her cherished baby doll, was almost always by her side. Patti also had a soft spot for dogs, especially Monty and Lona, and would give them treats. Despite developing diabetes, she never lost her love for candy and sweets. Everyone who knew Patti loved her. She had a childlike enthusiasm for life and loved to joke and laugh. She especially enjoyed spending time with her sisters and their families, always included in their gatherings and holiday celebrations. Pattis hobbies included shopping with her sisters, dining out, visiting with friends and neighbors, knitting when she was younger, and traveling. She particularly enjoyed vacations in Lake Tahoe, California, where she would visit her sister and niece. Patti is survived by her sisters: Jean Lewis of Shelby, Kathy (Leonard) Fox of Shelby, Darlene Winkelman of South Lake Tahoe, CA, nieces and nephews: Theresa (Jeremy) Janszen of Chagrin Falls, OH, Michele (Michael) Baker of Columbus, OH, Tara Winkelman of Reno, NV, Scott Lewis and Joshua Baugh of Shelby, OH, and great nephews: Xavier and Calvin Janszen, and Samuel and Jack Baker. Patti was preceded in death by her parents: Estis and Betty Lewis. Family and friends are welcome on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, from 10:00 -11:00 am at the Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory, 33 North Gamble Street, Shelby. A celebration of life service officiated by Pastor Dave Davenport will be held at 11:00 am following calling hours.
