Rebecca Tridico Obituary Rebecca Sue Tridico, 67, passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at OSU Wexner Center, after a brief illness, surrounded by her loving family. Rebecca was born on April 24, 1954, in Morgantown, West Virginia, to William and Evelyne (Sweeney) Deaner Sr. She was a longtime resident of Shelby, graduating with the class of 1972. Upon graduating, she furthered her education by going to cosmetology school. She was employed with Shelby City Schools for 20 years as a school bus driver. After her retirement, she worked for the local Duke & Duchess gas station. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. She loved playing cards, board games, going to the beach, camping, watching softball, reading, and her beloved dogs. Although by far, her favorite past time was spending time with her family. She was feisty, a bit ornery and not afraid to say exactly what she thought. She loved with her whole heart and enjoyed having the house where her family and all her childrens friends liked to gather. She was the glue that kept everyone together. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Nicholas Tridico, whom she wed on July 16, 1985; her children, Kelly (Jenni) Butts of Canal Winchester, OH, Michele Tridico of Shelby, OH; stepsons, Matthew Tridico of Chicago IL, and Nicholas 'Josh' (Elizabeth) Tridico of Southington, CT; granddaughter, Bailey Tridico; brother, William (Renee) Deaner Jr. of Panama City, FL; her grand dogs, Kimber Tridico, and Bella, Luna, and Frankie Butts; and numerous nieces and nephews. Rebecca was preceded in death by her parents and brother, David Deaner Sr. Visitation with be held at the Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory on Friday, April 22, 2022, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A Memorial Service will immediately follow at 4:00 PM, with Pastor James Robinson officiating. A celebration of life will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church (209 E Main St., Shelby) after the Memorial Service. Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory officiated in planning arrangements.
