Rickie Parker Obituary Rickie R. Parker, age 71, resident of Shelby passed away Monday, March 6, 2023 at his home. Born December 16, 1951 to John and Vera (Daenzer) Parker in Saginaw, MI, he was a Shelby resident for 7 years after moving from Michigan. A 1970 graduate of Birch Run High School in Michigan he went on to further his education at the General Motors Institute (GMI) where he received his bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering. Rickie had worked for GM for 30 years before retiring in 1998. In his free time, he loved hunting, snow skiing, water skiing, and above all fishing. He is survived by his daughter, Jenifer (Jamie) Godby of Shelby; granddaughter Madison Godby of Shelby; sister Judy Parker of Birch Run, MI, and two nieces; Kristie and Carrie. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a nephew, Adam Garza. Per Rickie's request, services will not be observed.
