Robert Sautter Obituary Robert Sautter, age 76, died Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at Ohio Health Hospital in Mansfield. Born December 15, 1944 in Galion to Ed and Helen (Wright)Sautter, he was a Tiro resident the majority of his life. Bob was a 1964 graduate of Galion High School. After high school, Bob served in the United States Army where he was stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War. He was employed with Timken Roller Bearing in Bucyrus until his retirement in 2003 after 30 years of service. But Bob's true passion was farming and raising cattle. Bob was a Past President of the Crawford County Cattlemen Association and also served as a board member for many years. In 2012, Bob was the Beef Industry Award Winner for Crawford County, which he took great pride in receiving. He was also a longtime member of the Ohio Cattlemen Association. Bob was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church in New Washington where he served on various committees. Hunting was one of Bob;s favorite past times, and he always looked forward to that time he spent with his 'deer hunting group'. He is survived by his beloved wife Kathryn (Dixon) Sautter whom he married on February 17, 1968; his two children, Steve (Angela) Sautter of Tiro and Cindy (Matt) Bower of Glenmont; his grandson, who was the pride of his life, Lane Sautter (Sierra Hanes) of Chatfield; his three siblings, Richard (Sandy) Sautter, Terry (Emma) Sautter, and Darlene (Dan) Foos, all of Galion; his sister-in-law Mary Adams of Bucyrus; and his grandson Braiden Bower of Glenmont, and many nieces, nephews and other relatives. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Father-in-Law and Mother-In-Law Arthur and Grace Dixon. Friends may call at St. John's Lutheran Church in New Washington on Saturday, April 17, 2021 from 10:00-11:00AM. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM with Pastor Deb Noll officiating, with fellowship following at the New Washington American Legion 211 N Kibler St, New Washington, OH 44854.
