Rodney Ebersole Obituary Rodney Ebersole age 64, resident of Shelby passed away of a sudden cardiac event Monday, April 4, 2022 at Ohio Health Hospital. Born March 25, 1958 in Shelby to Lionel Dennis and Carole Ann (Glower) Ebersole, he had been an area resident his entire life . A 1976 graduate of Plymouth High School, Rodney enjoyed playing baseball during his school years. He worked as a newspaper delivery driver for the Mansfield News Journal, and was very dedicated to his customers. Rodney was a member of the Woody Ridge Golf Course and enjoyed both playing and watching sports. He coached Little League Baseball, played golf, and rooted for Ohio sports teams including the Buckeyes, Indians, and the Browns. Rodney was a pet lover, and will be remembered as a proud and loving uncle, brother, and friend. He is survived in death by his special friend, Becky Porter; siblings, David (Debbie) Ebersole, Michael Ebersole, Emily (David) Knipp, Douglas Ebersole, Daniel (Michelle) Ebersole, Laurie (Scott) Storch; stepmother, Janet Ebersole; step siblings, Debra Graham, David (Barbara) Jarrell, Becky (Gary) Brittenham; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. In addition to his parents, Rodney was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Virgil and Alice Glower; and his paternal grandparents, Nolan and Fannie Bair. Friends are invited to the Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory Friday, April 8, 2022 from 10:00 AM TO 12:00 PM for visitation. A funeral service will immediately follow at 12:00 PM with Pastor Doug Tackett officiating. Interment will take place at Oakland Cemetery after the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to offset funeral expenses.
