Sally Light Obituary Sally Ann Smith Light, age 89, died Friday February 12, 2021 in Shelby. Born on July 18, 1931 in Newark, NJ to Glenn and Maude N. (Crawford) Smith, she had been a Shelby resident the majority of her life. She was a 1949 graduate of Shelby High School. Sally was owner/operator of the Sally Smith Studio of Dance in Shelby for many years and enjoyed teaching numerous Shelby area youths the art of dance. She was employed as office manager with Shelby Dental Arts for fourteen years. She was then employed for twenty years as manager/buyer for the Strubles Drug Store gift shop. Sally was a member of the First Presbyterian Church; Dance Masters of Ohio, Dance Masters of America and the National Association of Dance. She is survived by her daughter Denise Light of Germany, two sons Craig Light, of Hiram, Georgia, Brett Light of Social Circle, Georgia; her grandchildren, April Ramsey, Mandy McLeod, Tiffany Adams, Ashley Light, Brian Light and eight great grand children. She was preceded in death by her parents and her companion Don Limpach. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Monday February 15, 2021 from the Barkdull Funeral Home and Crematory. Pastor James Robinson and Pastor T. J. McNew will officiate with interment in Mansfield Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 11:00AM to 1:00 PM.
