Trent Mohn Obituary Trent Thomas Mohn, age 71 of Shelby, passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. He was under hospice care at Ohio Health Mansfield after a short battle with cancer. Born on July 23, 1953 to the late Jeffray and N.Jean (Pry) Mohn in Shelby, Ohio. He graduated in the class of 1971 from Shelby High School and earned his Associate's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from North Central State College. He enjoyed working at Western & Southern in Mansfield and Hi-Stat in Lexington, where he made many friends. He retired after working a short time from GE in Bucyrus. Also, he was a member of the Shelby Fraternal of Eagles. Throughout his life, Trent enjoyed golfing and many water sports such as fishing, boating and water skiing at one of his favorite places, Holiday Lakes in Willard, Ohio. Another happy place for Trent was in Largo, Florida, where he and Kathy owned a second home after retirement. In Largo, Trent was a member of the BBB's (Bel-Aire Beer Buddies), where he would use his 'Macgyvering' skills to help his beloved Bel-Aire community. If you know Trent, you would know that he knew no stranger and always loved a good laugh. He will be missed greatly by family and friends. Those who will cherish his memories include his wife, Kathy (Stickney) Mohn, whom he married on February 4, 1977 in Shelby, Ohio; his daughters: Krystal (Scott) Lovejoy of Medina, Ohio and Jen (Jeff) Hart of Marengo, Ohio; his grandchildren: Katie Lovejoy, Cameron Lovejoy, Layla Hart and Lydia Hart; his siblings: Pam Sanders of Willard, Ohio and Karl (Cathy) Mohn of Shelby, Ohio; and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jeffray and N.Jean Mohn and a brother-in-law, Paul Sanders. Per family's requests, no services will be observed at this time, but a Celebration of Life will be observed at a later date.
