Wanda Laney Obituary Wanda S. Laney, age 75, resident of Shelby, passed away Monday, October 28, 2024 at the Cleveland Clinic. Born September 25, 1949 in Abingdon, Virginia to the late Gaines and Audrey (Smith) Fields, she had been a Shelby resident for most of her life. Those who will cherish her memories include her daughter Vicky Anderton of Danville, Ohio; her two sisters, Mary Ketterman of Michigan, Nancy (Joe Saure) Ingram of California; her brothers, Gaines Jackson Fields, Jr. of Chillicothe and Sid (Brenda) Fields of Mansfield; her four grandchildren: Travis Parson, Joshua Parson, Victoria Browning and Faith Browning; and her numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Maud "Lee" Uppinghouse; brother, Donald Fields, two nephews, Mathew Ketterman and Michael Day and a great nephew, Jonathan Dodd. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later time.
