William Robertson, Jr. Obituary We are sad to say William Boyd Robertson, Jr. passed away on March 29, 2025 at age 81, after many years of health issues. Most people and friends called him 'Robbie'. William was born November 7, 1943 in Shelby to the late William Boyd and Jennie A. (Zadrovic) Robertson, Sr. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Judy Keene and his stepson, Jeremy Hicks. He had been a lifelong Shelby area resident and a 1962 graduate of Shelby High School. He had been employed with Arcelor Mittal as an electrician for 57 years retiring at the age of 76. William was a member of the NRA and gave to the Wounded Warrior Project and enjoyed hunting, shooting, sports and especially traveling. William will be missed by his devoted wife, Christine, whom he married on September 8, 2008. She has been his caregiver, close friend and life partner. He leaves behind three sons: Kevin Robertson of Shelby, William Dale Robertson of Crestline and William B. 'Robbie' Robertson, III of Shelby; his three grandchildren, his three step-sons, Jason Hicks, Jamie Hicks and James Hicks all of Mansfield; his two sisters Joan (William) Sexton of Shelby and Cathy (Bob) Small of Mansfield; his brother-in-law, Vernon (Kathleen) Hicks; and his nieces, nephews and other relatives. William wanted to say a 'BIG THANKS' for the men and women he worked with over the years. When in our time of need, they stepped up to help. William requested no services and no flowers.
