William Woessner Obituary William Paul Woessner, age 69, died Monday, December 6, 2021, at ProMedica Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation of Bucyrus.
Born June 30, 1952, in Shelby to Harold Eugene and Mary Grace (Amato) Woessner, he had been a Shelby resident for many years and most recently residing in Bucyrus. He was a 1970 graduate of Shelby High School and Pioneer Joint Vocational School. Bill was employed as an auto technician for the Don Murray and Al Rosso Ford dealerships retiring in 2014. He also was owner/ operator of B&B Auto Performance and had worked as a director at Ohio Technical College in Cleveland for eleven years. Bill was also employed as a special deputy with Richland County Sheriff's Department for eleven years.
Bill loved anything about automobiles and for over forty years he built and raced his own cars at Norwalk and Dragway 42. He was a member of National Hot Rod Association.
He was raised Catholic and had attended Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church.
He is survived by his daughter Melissa (Sean) Harperink, of Cincinnati OH; one grandson Nickolaus Harperink and one step grandchild, Veronica Harperink; his former wife Cheri Robinson and other relatives.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters Mara Morgan, Gloria Amato and an infant brother Michael Woessner.
A family memorial service will be held at a later date. Barkdull Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
