Adaline "Addie" Workman, age 99, resident of Shelby passed away Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Riverview Nursing Home in Oak Harbor.
Born February 12, 1918 in Willard to John L. and Mary Pearl (Collins) Bare she had been a Shelby resident since 1942.
She was a 1937 graduate of Willard High School and had been employed at Autocall, retiring in 1983 after 31 years of service. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, a past president of the American Legion Auxilary and a member of the Shelby Moose.
She loved to fish, was an avid reader, enjoyed working on puzzles, solving word searches, attending the activities at Riverview and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her son, John A. (Rose) Workman of Crestline; daughter, Anna Marie (Paul) Weichman of Oak Harbor; four grandchildren, Shari (Scott) Fick, Joani (Gary) Druyor, Laurel (Aaron) Buckner and Joel (Kayla) Workman; seven great-grandchildren, Mindy and Stephanie (William) Runyon, Nicholas and Erin Druyor, Reagan and Alexa Buckner and Emery Workman; two great-great-grandchildren, Ethan and Addison Runyon; one sister Ann Armatrout of Willard, nieces, nephews and other relatives. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Workman, whom she wed August 13, 1941; brother Robert Warch and step-sister, June Taylor.
Friends may call at Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory from 5:00-7:00 PM Thursday, February 1, 2018. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home 11:00 AM Friday. Rev. Dr. Edna Stahl of the Trinity United Methodist Church will officiate with interment in Oakland Cemetery.
