In loving memory of Arlen Blankenship, age 70, died Thursday, April 28, 2022, in Danville, Pennsylvania after a brief illness. 

Born September 22, 1951, in Bruno, West Virginia to Mason and Dorothy (Bartram) Blankenship. He had worked as a welder for Mansfield Founndry, Ubran for 22 years and then Voisard, before his retirement in 2008. 

Arlen was a very hard worker and enjoyed fixing lawnmowers in his free time. He also liked to garden, visit flea markets and watch John Wayne films.

He is survived by his three sons Chris (Mindy) Blankenship of Milton, PA, and Chad (Missy) Blankenship of Shiloh; James (Brooklyn) Blankenship of New London; 11 grandchildren; three brother Ranny (Suzie) Blankenship, Mason "Buddy" (Nadine) Blankenship, Jr., Luther (Pearl) Blankenship all of WV; sister Darlene Lux of Shelby; and an abundance of nieces, nephews, and other relatives. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gail Blankenship, daughter Dorothy Swank; son Arlen Jr.; brother Norville; four sisters Imagene, Tammy, Donna Rae, Emmalene, and Vicki; two infant sisters Gustavia and Rececca; and his first great-grandchild. 

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 7, 2022, at the Shelby Church of God. 

In place of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to offset funeral costs.
