Arnold "Junior" McKinney

Arnold B "Junior" McKinney Jr, age 76, resident of Fayetteville, NC passed away Monday, November 4, 2019 at the Fairway Veterans Hospital in Fayetteville, NC.

Born March 5, 1943 in Kentucky to Arnold B McKinney and Ottie V. (Payton) McKinney.  He has been a NC resident for over 30 years after retiring from the US Army.  He has mastered many talents over the years.  Working on cars was one of his favorites.  He enjoyed life to the fullest.  His family and friends meant the world to him.  He had a heart of gold.  Junior never knew a stranger.

He is survived by a daughter Jari (Kevin) Amburgey of Shelby, OH, grandchildren Tyler & Madison Bowling of Shelby, OH and Alex Bowling & Evie Lacy of Shelby, OH, a great granddaughter  Anastasiya Autumn Bowling of Shelby, OH.  Siblings Donald (Wilma) McKinney of Shelby, OH, Gary (Mildred) McKinney of Muncie, IN, Helen McKinney of Mansfield, OH and Brenda ( Steve) James of Shelby, OH.  Special friends Larry Slone of Shelby, OH and Dick Sweet of Shelby. OH. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings Maxine Gibson, Lovell Spangler, Lee McKinney, SP4 Forrest McKinney and 2 infant children.

Friends may call Tuesday, November 12, 2019 from 2:00PM -6:00PM at the Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory in Shelby, Ohio. Military honors will be performed following calling hours at 6:00 PM
