Bonnie L. Artz, age 74, was called home by her Lord and Savior on Friday, June 24, 2022, at her home in Tiro, surrounded by her loving family.
Born May 29, 1948, to John R. and Marcella (Reed) Vanichek in Willard, she had been a lifelong area resident. She graduated from Buckeye Central High School in New Washington, Ohio in 1966. She worked for Fishers Big Wheel from 1988 until the store closed. After the store closed, she attended Pioneer Career and Technology School to refresh her receptionist and computer skills. Bonnie was then employed by Dr. Huang, a pediatrician in Shelby, for ten years.
She was an active member of the Tiro United Methodist Church, serving as secretary and treasurer for many years; Bonnie loved Jesus and lived her life for Him. She also enjoyed crocheting, reading, and playing games. When the weather was nice you could often find her sitting outside watching birds, especially hummingbirds, they were her favorites. She also loved riding motorcycles with her beloved husband, Larry. Bonnie was a wonderful mother and grandmother; her best times were spent with those that she loved.
Bonnie is survived by her husband, Larry, whom she married December 3, 1966; children: Candace (Dale) Leach, Tamara (Scott) Grove, Chris (Amanda) Artz; grandchildren: Kassandra and Patrick Leach, Brandon Grove, Amy and Coletin Artz; twin sister Connie Montgomery; as well as many other relatives.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers John L. and James Vanichek.
