Carolyn Sue Licht

Carolyn Sue Licht, age 72 passed away at 4:55 a.m. on Thursday, November 18, 2021 in Shelby. 

She was born on February 11, 1949 in Morehead, Kentucky to the late Altaie Douglas and Eulah Mae (Perkins) Bowman. Carolyn had been a Shelby resident for the majority of her life and was a 30 year employee with General Motors of Ontario in the Quality Control department as a safety leader. Carolyn loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. 

Survivors include her daughter, Monica Stanford and Timothy Winningham; son, Robert Erich (Ashley) Licht; 8 grandchildren, Logan, Michaela, and Blake Stanford, Cameron Licht, Jayden, Jasmine, Keegan, and Parker French, a brother, Doug Bowman; two sisters, Juanita Drake, and Brenda (Junior) Ramey; an ex-son-in-law, Michael Stanford; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. 

In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Bowman; and two sisters, Charlotte Underwood and Debbie Stidam.

A celebration of Carolyn's life will be held at a later date. The Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory is honored to assist the family with their arrangements.
