Obituary
Charles "Chuck" A. Geer, age 63, of Shelby, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 28, 2023 at OhioHealth Mansfield, surrounded by his loving family.
Born August 25, 1959, in Marysville, to Charles G. and Jeri Ann (Wiggins) Geer, he had been a Shelby resident for 55 years. Chuck worked as a central office installer for the telephone company. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid Cleveland Browns fan. He loved all animals, but dogs held a very special place in his heart and he was known as the "Dog Whisperer," because there was never a dog he met that didn't like him. Many friends and family members would even joke that their own dogs liked Chuck best.
Survivors include his mother, Jeri Geer; two brothers, Michael (Carol) Geer of Farmington, CT, and Gregory (Julie) Geer of Shelby; and two nephews, Christopher Geer of Farmington, CT, and Adam Geer of Ripley, WV.
Chuck was preceded in death by his father, Charles G. Geer; and a nephew, Joshua Geer.
A celebration of Chuck's life will be held at a later date. The Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory is honored to assist the family with their arrangements.
