He was born December 8, 1932 to Clifford and Anna (Ramey) Wallace in Shiloh. Chuck was a 1951 graduate of Shiloh High School where was a distinguished athlete in baseball and basketball. As a pitcher Chuck helped lead his team to three Richland County Championships and was also an area leading scorer in basketball his Senior year. In 1953, Chuck was drafted into the US Army during the Korean Conflict and served in Germany. He always said he was fortunate enough to be assigned to Special Services for a time where he was able to continue his love of playing baseball with the Divisional Team. Chuck worked at the Shelby Air Force Base Depot from 1955 to 1959. In 1959, he transferred to New Cumberland Army Depot in Pennsylvania until his retirement in 1988. During his time working as a Supply System Analyst and Technician, Chuck earned many letters and certificates of appreciation as well as four Sustained Supervisor Performance Awards.  In 1996, Chuck and his wife moved to Huntsville to be closer to their family. In his later years Chuck was able to enjoy the things that made life worthwhile; church, grandkids, gardening, and going every Spring to watch the Cleveland Indians Spring Training in Florida and Arizona. He was an avid sports fan and his greatest love was spending time on the ball field teaching his son and grandson the game of baseball. Charles was a follower of the Ohio State Buckeyes and a loyal fan of the Cleveland Indians through thick and thin.

Chuck is survived by his wife, Mavis (Lucas) Wallace, whom he married on May 24, 1958 and was inseparable for 62 years, his son Gary (Linda) Wallace of New Market, AL; two grandchildren Abby (David) Burke and Christopher (Kim) Wallace; his great-granddaughter Kennedy Wallace; three sisters, Shirley (Al) Freyer of Wadsworth, Phyllis Faulkner of Shiloh, and Sue Hill of Plymouth; one sister-in-law Shirley Wallace of Shiloh; 2 aunts; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
