Cheryl Kay Bendle

Cheryl Kay Bendle, age 73, died Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family. 

She was born November 20, 1947 in Shelby to Lon and Alice (Adkins) Armstrong and had been a lifelong Shelby resident. She was a 1966 graduate of Shelby High School and was employed with Crestwood Care Center retiring as a nurses aid. 

Cheryl loved reading People Magazine, camping, shopping for make-up and especially spending time with her children and grandchildren. 

She is survived by her children Bryan (Sophia) Smith of Little Rock AFB, AR., Lori (Dean) Thornton of Shelby, Jason (Sandy) Smith of Mansfield and Ashley (Tyler) Sanders of Upper Sandusky; 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; her sister Vicky Snively of Arizona and Donnie Glower of Utica, OH and other relatives. 

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Scott Bendle whom she married on June 7, 1995; brother Ronnie Armstrong, her sister Dana Adkins and aunt Linda Eldridge. 

A celebration of Cheryl's life will be held by the family at a later date. The Barkdull Funeral Home and Crematory in Shelby is assisting the family with arrangements.
