Clarence A. Mosley, 81, entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, peacefully on August 1, 2018 after a short illness. His devotion to his family and his firm belief in God supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace.
Clarence was born to the late Arthur and Arettia Mosley in Wayland, KY on September 20, 1936. He was a devout Christian, a proud member of the UAW #549. He was a WEMR Journeyman at General Motors in Mansfield, OH and retired after 34 years. He attended Cornerstone Free Will Baptist Church. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, camping, and spending time with his family and friends.
Clarence was blessed with a loving family. He married his best friend and love of his life, Jeanette G. (Gray) Mosley, on October 2, 1953 in Wayland, KY. Clarence helped raise his two children with patience and love.
Clarence is survived by his wife Jeanette; his daughter Toni Ann (Larry) Stroup; his son Clarence Darryl (Colleen) Mosley; his two sisters Betty Hobbs and Marta Hughes, brother Alger Mosley; his grandchildren Teresa (Stroup) Downs, Katrina (Stroup) Potts, Darryl K. Mosley, Ken Mosley, Adam Mosley, Olivia (Mosley) Ruch; his great-grandchildren Jordan Downs, Walter Downs, Dalton Downs, Ashlyn Potts and Madilyn Ruch.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by two brothers, James and Ira Mosley.
Friends may call at the Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory on Monday August 6, 2018 from 10:00AM-12:00PM.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00PM at the funeral home. Pastor Bill Crank will officiate with interment held in Oakland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial expressions may be made to the Cornerstone Free Will Baptist Church or the family requests you donate blood in memory of Clarence.
