Clona Della Stepp Obituary

Clona Della Stepp, age 80, resident of Shelby died Monday, September 9, 2019 in her home.
Since the dawning of time and the creation of mankind, some very extraordinary people have walked this earth. These people, like a gentle wind blowing over a bed of fragrant blooming flowers, bring joy into the life of everyone they touch. Della Stepp was such a person. Her outward beauty was matched only by her inner beauty.
Della was gifted with the unique ability to, without using excessive flattery, make a person feel good about themselves, feel as if they were important and worthwhile. Being a positive force to others was a gift she used unfailingly.

December 7, 1938, eighteen miles from Morehead, Ky. A little place called Wyatt, Clona Della Stamper was welcomed into this life by her parents William Floyd and Vada Lee (Brown) Stamper. Della was four when she and her family moved to Ohio in 1943. She came north with a saddened spirit. She had to leave behind two pet chickens and a land that she loved with all her hillbilly heart. She had been a Shelby area resident since 1942.  Della was proud of receiving her GED and attending some classes at Ohio State University.
She worked several different places, but the two places she spent most of her time were Tech Forms in Shelby and Hi-Stat in Lexington.Della enjoyed Star Wars, dancing, playing games and socializing on her home computer, and just life in general

She is survived by her beloved husband Jodiviah (Joe) Stepp, Sr whom she wed March 13, 1965, from this union came one Jodiviah "Joey" Stepp, Jr, AKA her heart, of Columbus; two sisters-in-law, June (Dallas) Stamper and Elsie (David) Stamper; one brother-in-law Junior Armstrong of Shelby; two bonus brothers, Robert Hunter of West Salem and Billy Hunter of West Liberty, KY; one bonus sister, Delores (Bernie) Fernandez of Ontario; her dog, Gigi; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
