David Hutchinson

David Hutchinson, age 89, resident of Shelby, died Thursday, September 30, 2021 at The Willows of Willard.

Born August 3, 1932 in Plymouth to Roscoe and Mary (Stine) Hutchinson, David had been a Michigan resident for 30 years and most recently resided in Shelby. He graduated from Plymouth High School in 1950 and he served in the Korean War with the U.S. Army. David was employed with the Ford Motor Company as a welder. Alongside his wife, David had been Owner, Operator and developer of the Shelby Par 3 Golf Course.

He enjoyed golfing, hunting and was an avid fisherman. He looked forward to trips to Florida with his wife and would often fill a freezer with his catches. 

David is survived by his wife Lois Jean (Ball) Hutchinson whom he wed June 28 1952, three daughters Linda (Bruce) Patterson of Clare, Michigan, Luan Hutchinson of Cleveland, and Diane (Paul) Sanders of Forest Grove, Oregon; grandchildren Lindsey (Nate) Turner, Danica (Bryce) Davis, Dylan Patterson; great-grandchildren Bella, Arydona, Kai, Blysse, Freya, Luna, Eoin, Eellis Davis. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by, his sister Betty Wiser, and twin brother Samuel Hutchinson.

Friends may call at the Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory in Shelby Thursday October 7, 2021 from 10-11:00 AM. A funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 AM. Services will be live streamed via the Barkdull Funeral home's Facebook page starting at 11:00 at https://www.facebook.com/BarkdullFH.
Pastor James Robinson will officiate with interment held at a later date.
