Ernest Hamm, Sr. Obituary

Ernest D. Hamm Sr., age 65, resident of Mansfield, died Saturday morning, August 22, 2020 in his home surrounded by his loving family.

Born May 10, 1955 in Soldier, Kentucky, he had been a Mansfield resident for the majority of his life. Ernest had worked at Terry's Towing for many years before working for Viosard in Shelby as a Welder, retiring in 2008.

Ernest enjoyed fishing, working on cars and watching car building television shows. Most of all he loved all the time he spent with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his four children, Stacy Guill of Mansfield, Ernest Dean (Malinda) Hamm, Jr. of Mansfield, Benjiman Kyle Hamm of Mansfield and Deanna (Joe) LeMaster of Kentucky; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives; one brother Steve (Linda) Hamm of Kentucky; and two sisters-in-law Judy Hamm of Florida and Lora Gollihue of Kentucky. 

He was preceded in death by his three sisters Shela (Dan) Presley, Donna (Bud) Kennedy, Charlotte (William) Roberts; four brothers Ernest Hamm, Eddie Hamm, Charlie White, Sr. and Lewis Gollihue.

Friends may call at the Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory Wednesday, August 26, 2020 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in the form of donation to the family to help with funeral costs.

It is requested that those visiting, please be brief, practice appropriate social distancing and wear a mask. Those who have been experiencing any signs or symptoms of illness, please feel free to pay respects via mail or online condolence.
