Fannie L. Slone-Ehrman, age 88, resident of Shelby, passed away Sunday, December 26, 2021, peacefully at her home.
Born April 7, 1933, in Paintsville, KY to Tom and Hannah (Collinsworth) Hazelett, she had been a Shelby resident since 1952.
Fannie had worked at MTD in Willard for 24 years and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church where she sang in the choir for many years. One of Fannie's favorite things to do was cook meals for friends and family when they were sick.
She is survived by her husband, Lauren Ehrman of Shelby, whom she married January 3, 1987; her son Tom (Andrea) Slone of Tiro; step-children, Joseph E. (Lisa) Ehrman of White Bear Lake, MN, Kathy Ann (Thomas) Riedel of Canton, GA, Sue (Glenn) Wolf of Chandler, AZ, Dennis E. (Cindi) Ehrman of Columbus, Kenneth A. (Shan) Ehrman of Sunbury and John S. (Beth) Ehrman of Granville; 18 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and sister, Sara Hazelett of Ft. Wayne, IN and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Onis Slone, five brothers and six sisters.
Friends may call at the Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the Calvary Baptist Church in Shelby. Rev. Steven Schag will officiate with interment held in Oakland Cemetery.
