Goldie Brown Obituary

Goldie J. Brown, age 90 died Monday morning, August 30, 2021 at the OhioHealth Shelby Hospital.

Born August 9, 1931 in Morehead, Kentucky to Arnold and Lola (Stamper) Wilson, she had been a Shelby resident since 1977. Goldie was a member of the True Word Tabernacle Church in Bluffton, OH for numerous years. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, sewing and flower gardening, especially roses. She was her grandchildren's number one fan and adored everything they had done.

She is survived by her husband Paul Brown, whom she wed October 18, 1977; two children Sandra (Jeff) Funderburg of Lima, OH and Barbara Hurst of Washington; three grandchildren, Evan Funderburg, Amanda Funderburg and Erik Funderburg; one brother William C. (Lois) Wilson of Missouri; and her K-9 "babies" George & Jasmine.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Loren Hurst, Jr.; and two brothers John Wilson and Hank Wilson.

Per Goldie's requests, services will not be observed.
